This is the first time trying a Vietnamese coffee and man have I been missing out. It is so sweet and delicious and you can really taste the cantaloupe note that meg puts on the bag. I tried this with a few different recipes and the 4:6 method on the v60 and it brings out the sweetness soooo nicely. Meg included a hand written note in the package and even hand marks the roast date and roast level by hand. You can tell the passion and care she puts into blkcity coffee with the personal touch you can see she puts into everything. Meg thank you so much for making this coffee and for inspiring me to start my own roasting journey on the hottop. Ryan
Thank you Ryan for such an awesome note.
I just received this one and need a few days to dial it in but I wanted to give you my 1st impressions. Upon opening and smelling the bag, toffee right in your face! Grinding it for espresso (I love smelling fine ground coffees) Just more toffee. I'm not dialed in yet and the coffee is a little fresh but I'm learning to cup coffees and this one really surprised me. I thought I sensed a floral note but I just couldn't decide what it was finally it hit me just like the toffee. Fresh carnations! I think it's funny because most just say floral notes but with this one I can name the flower! I wonder how this will change over time. Anyway I really like it and your service was great especially all the notices on shipping!
Thank you Brad! How cool, picking up that carnation note! so cool hearing your perspectives.
